Fantabulous Fun!!!

......my patience was rewarded though! Mum said I deserved a bit of a relaxed day after all that has been happening.....so.....we went for a FREEEEEERRRRRUUUUUNNNNNN! YIPPEEDIPPEEDOOOOOO!

We went to that huuuuuugenormous open grassy place, beside the River Tems, that made me squeak when we cruised past it on our floatyboatyhome! It was fandabbydoozeee there! I got to run and run and run, and roll and romp and do big huge zoomies. There were loads of featherballs on the grass by the river - I tried to catch them to play but they made a load of loud honking noise and flapped off into a big splash on the water! Hufff! I did find one lying still on the grass but Mum and Dad shooed me away from it. They said that a headless goose is not lunch! Hufff! I did just....perhaps.....errr....maybe....sneak in a quick spa session in the river too! Well, it was my treat day! Heehee!

It was fantabulous fun. Even better was that Mum and Dad decided that a long walk home was a good idea to give me chance to dry off! Well, I was happy to oblige! I was almost dry by the time we got back to our floatyboatyhome. Just right for a good snooze by the hotbox!

Sitting with the huge expanse of Port Meadows behind me.

Pose for a portrait - just my head with blurred green grass behind.

A full immersion spa session in the River Thames - swimming toward camera.

Investigating the river's edge - nose down having a good sniff around.

Splashing back out again.

BIG SHAKE!

This Morning....

This morning...... I waited soooooo patiently! Mummy and Daddy mentioned going out......then Daddy sat there at the table......clicketyfingersing on that blessed tippetytappetything of his.......I just had to lie there and wait.....and wait....and wait.....

I gave him 'the look' as long and as hard as I could muster......

Photo shows me lying down on wooden floor, looking up at Daddy with the most longing, fed up face possible.

Shove Over, Mum!

Home again!

Workywalkies from Puppa's to the station, via a slightly different route - just for a change!

Lots and lots and lots of trains and stations and 'find the door', 'find the train', 'find the lift', 'find a seat'.......wait and wait and wait at the station......Phew I needed that wee when we finally arrived at this Oxford place!

One of the trains had a really yucky floor. I mean.....cold and hard and NOT carpet! Lie down on that? I don't think so! I shuffled myself between Mum and Dad's legs and made use of Dad's leg for a chin rest!

The last train was nice though - a big area of carpet to stretch out on! Much better! The train before that had some nice fuss-giving humans in the seats opposite. That was pleasant!

But now, we are safely back aboard out floatyboatyhome and I have pretty much demolished a big juicy bone! Now.....Mum.....shove over a bit.....that sofa is my bed too!

2 photos from different angles showing me resting my head on Dad's leg on the train.

Riot Fun!

Playdate with Guide Dog Puppy Chrissie at my PuppyMummy's home. Chrissie is four and a half months old and nearly as big as me. Today we went to visit and it was the bestest playtime I've had for ages. It was nice to meet up with my old buddy Rowley too (Springer Spaniel), even though he is too old and wobbly to be able to join in with the riot-fun.

Treat-Dispensing Buttons!

Cor! I think I've earned my bone today!

First of all, I had to take Mummy workywalkies to a huge Tesco shop. It was a good walkies to get there (Mum says her talkybone told her it was a mile), then a big challenge guiding her and a trolley around the shop. There were sooooo many humans in there, and loads and loads of workyhumans with big trolleys full of big boxes they were unloading onto the shelves. Mum did the usual thing of lying my harness handle down on my back and then holding my lead on the handlebar of the trolley. We then go slowly and carefully and I follow Mum's commands of 'find right', 'find left', 'straight on', and 'wait'. There is a lot of 'wait' while she searches the shelves for the things she needs.

There was one exciting moment when I spotted a potential poochpal to meet and greet. My excitement was dashed though. I wasn't allowed to meet or greet. Huff! Instead, I ended up doing more waiting while Mum yacketyacked with a manhuman who said he was helping with training my potential pal to be a helper to a human in a wheelieseat. I am sure I could have taught her all sorts of great things!

When we had finished doing the shopping, Mum asked me to 'find the way out. Outside, we found Dad with Puppa's car. He took all the shopping away in the car and Mum and I took a wander back to Puppa's home.

After a short snooze while Mum, Dad and Puppa noshed lunch, then Mum did some choppy-sizzly-stirry stuff, we then set off out again. This time, Dad came too and we went to 'find the bus stop'. This was a tad more exciting! Indeed it was good! A bus ride took us to completely new territory for me to guide Mum around. There were quite a few 'find the crossing' jobs for me and, better still, some of them had 'get the button' treat dispensers too! Mmmmm.... And.....the workywalkies took us to a Pets at Home! Yippeeeee! It seems we needed more food for Meeeeee!

"Hup" on the bus!

BEACH!! I got a run on the beach! Yayy!

OK, it was only a little run......and a little sniff.......and a VERY brief play with another doggypal......but it was a run on the BEACH!!

It came after a workywalkies, a bus ride, another workywalkies and then a humanpaws-warming session in the office at the huge humanswim puddle place where Rosie works. Mum abandoned me there. She handed my lead over to a workyhuman who took me into the office. It seems that Mum and Dad went off to sit at the side of the big puddle to watch minihuman Hallie learning to swim. (another example of dogs-better-than-humans. Dogs don't have to learn to swim. We just do it!). I got some lovely fusses though!

Then it was funtime! A shortish walk along the pawmenade for Mum and Dad, and a chance to let my fur down doing zoomies on the pebbles! This took us into town, where Mum and Dad had a little lunch, then to a bus stop.

The bus ride took us to visit a long-time-no-see humanfriend. She was waiting outside her house. I recognized her multicoloured headfur! It was Jill, Mummy's friend and mine too! We didn't stay long. Just long enough to snooze on her carpet while the humans drank that hot brown waterstuff and do a load of yacketying - of course! Then we had to set off to catch the bus back again. This bus had another long-time-no-see humanfriend driving it. I just had to 'hup' to say a proper hello to Darlene!

Puppa seems to be getting better, but Mum and Dad are doing all the choppy-sizzly-stirry stuff, plus feeding the frothymouth monster machine and all the strokystuff.

Multicoloured Square

Not a lot to report from a soggy Sunday. Workywalkies to a church with carpet to snooze on and lots of admiring humans to get fusses from. Workywalkies back again to Puppa's home. (Mum kept on telling me to 'huppup' but I wanted to plod to register my protest at walking the same route yet again. I kinda think Mum was a bit miffed with me. Oops!

She didn't stay miffed with me to for too long though. I got a yummy bone to munch on while she did all the sizzly stirry stuff in the kitchen. That was tiring enough to lead nicely into a snoozy afternoon while Puppa made nose rumbles, Dad did loads of clicketyfingersing and Mum did some stroking of floors and worktops. She even stroked the inside of that hot-huffing box that she put yummies into earlier. She got out the noisy carpet stroker and it ate all my bits of bone! She then sat down and did a load of that strange thing with a long thin tail and a little shiny hookspikething. I sat and watched her but really couldn't fathom it out. It seems that she twizzles the tail around the hookspikething and it turns into a multicoloured square that is growing! I didn't bother to watch for long, my eyelids needed internal inspection!
